Tuesday Tales…

Hi and welcome to our blog!  We are Bob Chinn’s Premium Beverage – the manufacturer of the one and only Bob Chinn’s World Famous Mai Tai.  If you live in the Chicagoland area, you may recognize the name… the Mai Tai is the signature drink at our restaurant, Bob Chinn’s Crab House in located in Wheeling, IL.  As a fixture on Milwaukee Avenue, also known as Wheeling’s Restaurant Row, Bob Chinn’s has been a family-run business for the past 31 years.

Before the inception of the Crab House, Bob Chinn (he is a real guy!) specialized in catering luau-themed parties all along the North Shore of Chicago.  Introducing many Mid-Westerners to the food, drink and pastimes of the Hawaiian people, Bob Chinn created a truly unique experience. Although the origin of the Mai Tai itself is still up for debate, Bob Chinn likes to think that he “perfected” this delicious cocktail and the million dollars the Mai Tai brings in yearly, is certainly a testament to that!  A blend of real fruit juices and a premium dark rum, from a craft distillery on the island of Maui, Bob Chinn’s Mai Tai has become one of the best-selling of its kind- making it really World Famous!

The tradition of the Tiki came in the fall of 2003 and has been hit ever since!  Our World Famous Mai Tai is available in the 27 oz exclusively designed Tiki mug and seems to be a staple in many kitchen cabinets. We have recently added the mini Tiki, a 16 oz version of our Fan Favorite to the Chinn family! While the Mai Tai is indeed an alcoholic beverage, the Tiki can be enjoyed by all ages…. and species!

So come along with us on our newest adventure, as we explore the Tales of the Tiki!
